Introduction
In November 2021, President Joe Biden signed the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, a bipartisan plan to invest in America’s aging infrastructure. This plan creates funding programs to make improvements to a wide variety of infrastructure needs.
Federal Agencies will introduce each funding opportunity as they become available through a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) or Notices of Funding Availability (NOFA). These notices will outline the amount of funding that is available, who is eligible, and the timeline for the funding. Below are the key resources for federal grants from all 26 grant-making agencies. This is meant to be a resource for Wyoming entities to access these opportunities. This is not an exhaustive list of available grants.
SAM.gov – Search & Identify Federal Assistance Program
Official catalog with descriptions of more than 2,200 federal assistance programs that include grants, loans, and other financial and non-financial assistance.
Grants.gov & FedConnect.net – Register & Apply
After identifying the federal program you want to apply for in SAM.gov and contacting the agency, typically you will be directed to register and apply at grants.gov or FedConnect when applications for competitive grants become available.
